Water - Chorus + Tremolo
Water - Chorus + Tremolo
Add the motion of the ocean to your tone.
Adjust chorus and tremolo depths independently and adjust both rates simultaneously.
Chorus and tremolo rates are offset just enough so that they do not compete with one another but instead join into an effect that is more than the sum of its parts.
Here’s a sample of what it sounds like.
The final installment of the Elemental series of effects is here! And just like the rest, I’ve tried to embody the sound of Water in a pedal.
Water was the most difficult of the group to decide on - the result of this thinking is a combination of modulation effects - chorus and tremolo rather than one or the other.
The “C” knob controls chorus depth.
The “T” knob controls tremolo depth.
The “R” knob controls the rate of both effects simultaneously. The effects each use their own LFO, with the chorus utilizing a sine wave and the tremolo using a trapezoidal wave. The trapezoidal wave of the tremolo allows for some of the rising/falling feeling of a sawtooth or triangle wave, while also still delivering some of the chop of a square wave.
Like all the other Elemental pedals, this is polished, engraved, and hammer-textured by hand, making each one subtly one-of-a-kind.
*Engraved pedals are out of production, but I do make some special, one-of-a-kind painted ones. Pictures of formally available pedals are up for reference.
**Please note that the prototypes were used by beta-testers, an this version of the circuit has a bit of gain and noise which were removed from the final version, as well as a slightly more mid/treble-focused frequency response, and slightly different chorus sound.
***This is designed for and primarily tested for guitar and bass - if you are running at line-level, you may need to make some adjustments.
